Merry Christmas!

Holy cow where does the time go! I can't believe December is almost over.....sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything. :( We had such an amazing Christmas! Mya was loads of fun this year. Things were really clicking, she wasn't afraid of Santa and we sang enough Christmas songs to almost make me sick of them ;) She was so excited to give presents to others and we talked a lot about baby Jesus. Here's some pics to help tell about our busy fun month. We love ya and can't wait to see you while you're here in Utah! Woot woot!

Cooper's birthday is a couple days before Thanksgiving and he had a Batman party!

Mya was having a blast with all of her cousins, especially in the room filled with balloons!!

My family had Thanksgiving a day late this year so everyone could be there! We are missing my dad in this shot cause he had to leave and go to work :(
We love spending time with the fam! That's why holidays are the best!
Mya is such a sweet girl...she sat forever and broke off little pieces of cookie to feed to her cousin Kyson! I'm telling you this girl is going to rock it big time as a big sister!!!

Mya got this for my mom to add to her Christmas decorations and can ya tell she was pretty excited to give it to Grammy Pammy!
Getting out all the Christmas deco was so much fun, Mya wanted to help with everything.

My friend and I took Mya and Kendall (Mya's BFF) to the Festival of Trees in SLC, they had a blast!

A little girls dream!
Just making themselves right at home! We had so many people stopping us to tell us how cute they were, taking pics of them (those ones were all super old people so it wasn't as creepy as that sounds) watching, and laughing at them the whole time! We were a huge spectacle.

Mya's first encounter with Santa this year was awesome!! She happily climbed on his lap, told him what she wanted and thanked him for the candy cane he gave her. He was laughing pretty hard by the end of their conversation. It was so cute!!!
Nick took a day off of work to play with us and Mya chose to go to her favorite....Kangaroo Zoo! This trip was awesome I even got to play on all the toys. Nick loved being able to be there to see how happy this place makes her. He is always sad when I call him at work and tell him about all the things we do.....he would jump ship on his career and be Mr mom anytime! He's so cute and perfect with Mya.

Fun FHE making Snoopy gingerbread houses!

Please no laughing it is clear that we suck at making gingerbread houses but hey at least we had fun trying!
Going to Temple Square to see the lights is a favorite tradition every year! The lights are beautiful and the Spirit is so strong. We also made a quick stop at the Disney Store in City Creek to let Mya pick something for her potty box! She picked a Jake and the Neverland Pirate toy set. That is her favorite show right now.....Disney sure knows how to capture children's hearts!

We took a wagon ride through the Christmas lights at Thanksgiving Point with my whole family and some of Nick's (thanks to my daddy!) Mya's best friend Kendall even got to come! It was freezing but so much fun! After we went to Starbucks to see Ashley Nick's sister and get some much needed hot chocolate :)
This was the cutest thing ever! I walked in my room and found Nick studying for the GMAT while Mya watched a movie. She had put reindeer ears on both of them! There isn't anything Nick wouldn't do for her! This made my night, I love them both so much!
Powell family Christmas party at Energy Solutions Arena, always so much fun! Mya has so many little cousins to play with.

Attacking uncle Derek! He totally deserves this!

Another great visit with Santa, all she wanted was a candy cane!
And here's after the blue candy cane Santa gave her turned her whole mouth blue! Lol

The little Christmas Elves at the Jarrett party! Lol my favorite bunch of elves!

This was our talent show before opening presents. Mya wanted to sing jingle bells. She was so cute and sang the whole song with all of us, it was very sweet! This girl loves to sing I think we have literally sang jingle bells, Santa Claus is coming to town and frosty the snowman a million times each this season. :)

She got a whole box of dress up clothes!

Some fun earrings from Aunt Ashley!
Her very own lap top.....oh yeah this girl is on a roll!
A crayola art station with all kinds of stuff for her to draw with!
Our favorite elf of all!
This is our annual bingo game! Mya was Grandpa's little helper this year, she had lots of fun turning the bingo wheel.

Mya got Bingo!!!! There she is picking a prize from the prize table!
End of the party and time to open her Christmas jammies, go home and wait for Santa!!
Christmas morning at almost 9:00....she had a late night!
We decided we couldn't wait anymore so we woke her up!

She was very concerned about Santa bringing something for Louie so we got a stocking for him and this is what I'm showing her.....Santa brought Louie some bones! She was excited and went to chase him down to show him!

Mommy and Daddy got her some Ariel squinkeys!
Our friends bought her a Hello Kitty doll!
This is Mya watching Daddy open the special gift we made for him. It's a wood cube to put on his desk with pics of little miss Mya moo! He loved it!
Opening the gift Santa brought for her.......
This is the only thing she asked for...a Scout dog! He is on one of the cartoons that she watches. She was thrilled! When she opened it she said "Santa is so nice, I need to tell him thank you!" What a sweetheart right! He can say her name and sing songs to her, she's had a great time playing with him since Christmas! Well done Santa!!!

Nick cooked us a yummy Christmas breakfast!
Then it was on to my parents house where she got spoiled a whole lot more! They got her clothes, books, puzzles, a backpack with lots of Disney characters.....and more!

Yes she is opening gifts shirtless! Nice right! She got an Ariel dress up dress and wanted it on right away then decided she didn't so this was her preferred style of dress!

Our adoption video!

This video is so much fun (we hate our voices but it's all good we're not voice over actors) and we hope that it helps our next birth family feel that connection to us. Mya is going to make the BEST big sister and we feel like it's time to make that happen! I wish it were just that easy! Please keep us in your prayers, this whole process is scary and we need as much support as possible. We love you and appreciate everything you have done for us. We love adoption because of you and Mya!! We feel like this was an inspired part of our current process and never imagined that someone would find us through random means and do this for us just to help! We hope that our new little one can feel all three of us fighting to find them. Mya says in her prayers every single time "please bless Amy in New York" and "please help my new brother or sister find us" You would not even believe the spirit that fills the room when she prays. Her prayers are simple but powerful and we're so thankful that we have her to help us go through this process again. If I were answering prayers I would not be able to ignore such a sweet little girl like Mya. She's incredible!

All of our love.....

Nick, Tiff and Mya

Painting.....family style!

Nick and Mya are so cute they both do this thing when they concentrate....they stick out their tongues! It's so cute, Nick made sure not to do it in any of the pictures I took, he's such a stinker!

Even Louie likes to be around when we paint! Too bad he's not much help! :)

Look how cute Mya's little turkey is, she has so much fun painting with me! She's a pro!

You know I love to paint and do crafts but nothing is better than when I get to do these with my favorite man and my favorite little girl! We made 20 turkeys for a birth mother group at our LDSFS agency and Nick and Mya helped me SO much! Then we made some pumpkins and some Christmas Trees. We made lots of pumpkins for friends that included a card with all of our adoption info. I love making things for people, it's one of my favorite things to do! We've been busy!!

Fall...we love this time of year!

November is "National Adoption Month" so I decided to make a cute little sign to go in front of our house to let the world know "We LOVE adoption". The UFA group had some super cheesy plastic ones that you could buy from them, but since I am a crafting maniac I made my own!

Playing at the park! One of our favorite things to do :)

This was cracking me up, she kept kicking the leaves as she walked from the bottom of the slide back to the stairs! I was able to get this great action shot!

Mya's first trip to Kanagroo Zoo a bounce house indoor park. She got to go with her best friend Kendall. We had so much fun, lots and lots of laughs! Since we have such crazy weather during fall with one day in the 60's and the next it's snowing we're lucky to have fun places like this to go when it's raining or snowing outside!

There goes our brave little girl up the most giant slide they have! I went up after her thinking she was going to freak at some point. Yeah she never did she came flying down the slide before I could get half way up the ladder! The look on her face was priceless, it will be burned in my brain forever! I honestly thought I might pee my pants laughing. When she got to the bottom where my friend Kathryn was I just held my breath waiting for the tears cause she had a look of pure terror on her face all the way down. But instead she laid there for a sec and said "weee". Once again we were rolling on the ground laughing!
The next time she asked me to go with her. Lol!
I believe my face says it all....that was fun and most definitely not made for a 2 year old!
