Birthday party!

Adoption is great! These two little girls are such great friends!!

It was so fun to have a pool party. I grew up pretty much living at our community pool because my dad was the manager there for 20 years! This felt like good old school fun for my family and it was fun to have so many special people there with us to celebrate! Thank you for being a part of this very special day with us! It was awesome to have you here. Love ya lots!

Mya's turns 3!!!!

July 24, 2014.......Miss Mya wakes up and knows its her birthday! 

We surprised her with a bouquet of balloons and a birthday outfit!  She was very excited!

She's so sweet we could just eat her up!!!!!!! Can't believe our baby is 3! Yikes where did the time go!

Eating her favorite breakfast, Froot Loops with milk!

Then it was off to a special lunch at her favorite place to eat Firehouse Subs with.....YOU!

We were so happy you could come spend some time with us that day! It made everything so special!

Off to find a bike from Grandma Jody and Papa Arlen! I love how shes scratching her head as if this is such a hard decision....life as a 3 year old is tough! 

We had to stop by Grammy Pammy's to see her! She got her very own pool! So fun! 

We ended the night by stopping by Sierra's house to say hi to her and baby! :)  

What can I say about this sweet little diva.........I can't believe that Mya is 3! She is such a sweet little girl we love her SO much! She is talking up a storm, loves reading, playing with her dolls, she has a HUGE imagination and tells lots of funny stories! She can count to 20, say her ABC's perfectly, recognize numbers 1-10. She is getting better at riding her bike. She loves playing with cousins and neighbor friends. She especially loves Grandmas and Grandpas! She's excited for preschool to start and I'm sure she'll be the smartest one in the class! Oh yes and she has developed quite the sassy attitude! We're trying to teach her to keep her divaness in check but somedays its out of control :) She can do puzzles, draw smiley faces, recognize all letters in the alphabet. She loves watching shows like Spider Man, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Carebears, Spongebob, still all Disney princess shows. She has memorized her favorite books and reads them to us. She loves nursery, she loves praying and says the cutest prayers ever! She loves bossing Louie around and feeding him things hes not supposed to eat :) She loves going shopping for clothes with me and putting makeup on! We are excited to see what this 4th year of her life brings she is an amazing daughter and our lives would be very dull without her shining little spirit in our home! She is AMAZING!

This is the little gift Sierra gave to Mya when we she told us she "picked us". It was so important to us that the next birth family be fully willing to love and accept Mya as well as us so this meant a lot to us that she thought of little miss Mya too!

Mya was so excited and wasted no time using everything in the gift bag! She drew smiley faces all over herself and everyone that was around her. Nick and I were covered :) 

She also loved the little lip sticks Sierra gave her...so cute!

May 24th the day she gave us this basket and told us we were getting a boy! Such an exciting day. It brought back so many memories from July 14, 2011 the day we met you and found out we were getting Mya! Adoption is seriously AMAZING!

Mya is so excited!! She talks about "baby brother" almost every single day. She tells me what she's going to do with him and what she's going to teach him. She's even cautious about what she leaves on the floor now. She will put something down, walk away and then say "oops I better pick that up so baby brother doesn't put it in his mouth and choke" lol it's darling! She also says she will share her coke with him.....oops :) I can't believe we will be bringing another little baby home! We are SO excited for Mya to have a sibling she will be the absolute best and she is at a perfect age right now to be a little helpful too....I hope :)

Yeah it's true the girl loves her coke! 

I'm going there someday!

Don't these make you want to go back in time for just a little while! 

I have to share this sweet experience, it is something I will never forget! We were in South Jordan the other night where we had a BBQ with both Nick's family, my family and Sierra's family so that everyone could meet. On our way home we ended up having Cooper with us in the car. Nick's parents house is right by the Oquirrh Mtn Temple and this is what happened on the way home! It was dark when we left and the temple was all lit up. Cooper said...well actually screamed "look the temple!" then Mya turned to him and said "Cooper you know I'm gonna go there and I get to wear a beautiful Cinderella dress" to which Cooper replied "yeah Mya" in his deep little manly voice. It was so sweet! It made me tear up from laughter and just because I know she will go there someday to be sealed to her hubby and it made me a proud mommy! Even sooner than that she will get to go and experience this when we seal her brother to our family next year. She's getting more excited as the days go by to have her little brother here with us. She prays for you, Sierra and her brother every single day. She finds things in the store that she wants to buy for him. She tells me all the time I need to teach her how to make his bottle, feed him and hold him! Honestly she is going to be the BEST big sister. We are more and more proud of her every single day, she is completely amazing!! Her little spirit is extremely sweet and I am so thankful for her!

Ogden UFA Adoption Walk May 3, 2014...

Mya showing your mom how to do the splits on the grass! :) Oh and shes in a phase where band aids are like a cool accessory. She was sporting at least 3 but don't worry none of them are actually covering an injury! 

We had so much fun seeing your mom and making that drive to Ogden again. Going past the hospital brought me to tears. I will never forget that day as long as I live. As Mya and Rapunzel would say it was the "BEST DAY EVER!!" Your mom got to see Mya shake her hips and play like a wild child all over the playground. There were also no bathrooms open so Mya got to pee on the grass which you think might be traumatizing but no not at all for her!  Now she's constantly reminding me of the time she got to pee on the grass and wondering when she can do it again! Awesome right! 

Birth Mothers Day Celebration Walk 5/10/14...
