"Bless you"

I had to quickly write this down because it was so cute! Last night we had just finished reading stories and I was in the middle of saying a prayer when I sneezed. Mya opens her eyes and while still folding her little arms says "bless you mommy".  I peeked at Nick and he was having a hard time not busting out laughing. She is so sweet! It's incredible how fast she's learning and what she picks up on! We are loving every single second we have with her and all the cute new things she's doing!

A cute moment that I never want to forget!

Mya broke her head!

Here is little miss thing getting ready to go to my mom's house! She's so cute!
This is after she broke her head, those are her words!
Here she is after we went band-aid shopping for some pretty ones! She's pretty happy about her princess and hello kitty band-aids!
Nothing slows her down or takes her smiles away! I love that about her!
Running fast again already!
So here's what happened! I left her at my moms house so I could get some spring cleaning work done at our condo that we're renting out. My little sister called me a couple hours into it and told me I better come to my moms cause Mya split her head open. I seriously just about died I actually thought it was a joke at first. I don't do well with stuff like this, I rushed to my moms where she was calmly sitting on my moms lap reading stories. When my Dad mentioned to her that I was there she said "I broke my head mommy" Lol little stinker (We sing the monkeys jumping on the bed song a lot). I burst into tears when I saw the big cut. She was so worried that I was crying, more worried about that than her head. She kept saying "mommy okay" and hugging me. She is still today reminding me of when I was crying and asking me if I'm okay. I love her big heart! She was running fast down the hall tripped over the rug and hit her head on a metal vent in the hallway. My mom and I took her to the Insta-Care near their house. They were able to avoid putting stitches and just glued the big cut on her head shut. She was INCREDIBLE! She sat on my moms lap and let the doctor do everything he needed and didn't cry at all. We were both glad Grandma was there! She kept saying to him "Doctor fix Mya's head" They were thinking we would have to strap her to the bed to put the glue on but she just laid there like a pro, no straps needed. The doctor said it would sting when he started the glue, she cried for a minute but the nurse handed her a sucker and she stopped! The nurses and doctors fell in love with her of course and said she is literally the best patient they have ever had when doing something like that. She is such a sweet little girl and so brave. Amy I think she gets the brave part from you! Anyway needless to say Grandma and I cried far more than she did. I called Nick all upset about this happening and he calmly said this will probably happen a million more times, and not to worry she will be just fine! Good thing I married such a calm level headed person!  Before we had even left the doctors office my dad and brother took the old vent off and put a new plastic one that doesn't stick out from the wall, much safer for kids! My family is so great!!!!! Mya is doing well and we've survived our first emergency room situation!Grandpa sent her home with a bag full of her favorite black licorice treats, Grandma let her get a duck necklace, a bracelet and a ball in the quarter vending machine at the doctors office. She rode home a happy little girl, it's funny how kids are so resilient and can just get over things so quick!

Here are some cute pics I took with my phone of her at the doctors office! She was such a big girl!

Easter again......

The kids kept dropping eggs down the window wells, my brothers were so sweet and kept jumping down to get the eggs for us!
I didn't get Mya's basket back out so we went a little white trash and collected hers in a Target bag!
Such good buddies!
This was Mya's first experience finding Easter eggs! She really liked it, especially since they had treats in them. We celebrated Easter a week late with my family cause the week before we had too many sick people. It's always fun to get together with the whole family! They are always amazed at how smart she is getting and how well she's talking!

Always playing......

Here is Mya thinking she's a Mom! She loves to carry her babies and sh them to sleep! She also ALWAYS needs her purse!
We have been having so much fun being able to go outside and play! She loves chilling in her chair and drawing with chalk on the sidewalk!
Miss Mya hates the wind blowing her hair in her face! She usually come and buries her head in my chest so that the wind won't bother her....lol it's funny!
She is going to be an artist, she loves to draw and paint!
We like to sit outside and draw while singing the ABC's or counting to 10. She is always walking around singing one of her many favorite songs! It is one of our favorite things about her!
Nick plays on a rec league basketball team and Mya is his number one fan! She sits on the bench, claps and yells yay Daddy whether he is doing good or not she is proud of him. It is so sweet!
Two of my most favorite people in the world! We loved watching Nick play basketball.
**This is a post clear back from April that I forgot to actually post....oops!**

Lets go fly a kite!

In Mya's Easter basket from Nick's parents she got her very first kite! It is a Cinderella one! As she watched all the other kids get their kites ready she was very excited to be a part of this! She wanted us to help her get her kite ready too!  We ran up and down the road with her holding her kite....mostly dragging behind her but she had an absolute blast! We had even more fun watching her, oh she is such a sweetheart!
She kept walking up to Carter and hugging him, I always noticed too late to snap a picture!
She just wants to be like the big kids!
Sami got hurt so she was limping and Mya was mimicking her by trying to limp also. It was pretty darn funny!
She is such a cute little girl! She loves to be around friends and family and have fun!

The Easter Bunny came to our house!

We got her out of bed, she spotted the Easter basket on the floor and went running! Glad Nick got this action shot!
First thing she grabbed was a little Hello Kitty doll!
Then she noticed her jelly shoes, which she calls "jewee soos" it is the cutest thing ever!
She was pretty excited about each thing in her basket!
It's very clear she was spoiled! The Easter Bunny took the opportunity to prepare her for her upcoming trips to California and New York! What an awesome bunny!
Look how adorable she looks in her new Easter dress!
Lol funny faces!
Grandmas & Grandpas are the coolest!
Here is Mya at my parents house getting an Easter surprise from them!
Here are the cute things that she got from my parents and Nick's parents! Wow I know, it felt like Christmas! Mya has the BEST Grandparents around!
We had a wonderful Easter! My family has had too many sick kids and adults lately so we will celebrate this next week. We got to hang out with Nick's family and it was so much fun! Mya has some pretty great cousins that really love her, and she loves playing with them. Mya loved the Easter baskets and most of all the treats! As she gets older she just keeps getting to be more fun!! Every holiday we think....this will be the funnest year with her, and then we say the same thing next time! I guess all years and holidays are just better with her around, she's incredible! I got to help Nick teach his primary kids at church about the Resurrection. The Spirit was so strong and it really helped to be thankful for my Savior and all that he has done for me and the ones I love most. I always love Easter. The weather here was beautiful and it just seemed like the perfect day to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ! We hope that you had an amazing Easter and once again sorry that you couldn't be with your family. We are praying for you everyday! We love you and are so proud of all the things you are doing! We couldn't be happier to have you as a part of our little family. Thanks for all you do!

Happy Easter!
