Easter egg hunt with the cousins at Grammy Pammy's!

Easter outfits! Im not sure they could have looked any cuter! 

Mya got some money from Gma Jody and Papa Arlen for Easter she knew exactly what she wanted to buy with it. Nick was mad I didn't make her put it in savings.....he's the always the responsible one! Next time I'll teach her that, this time was all about patience and making her use her own money to buy something she has wanted for awhile. We have so much to teach her! 

We showed this video to Mya on Easter. She was heartbroken that someone could put a pokey crown on and hurt Jesus. She still talks about it and how she doesn't want anyone to hurt him again. I want to bear witness that I know the Savior lives and because he died we all have the opportunity to make mistakes, be forgiven and go home and be with our families forever! I am so thankful for the gospel in my life and what it has done for me. Its been able to pull me through some very difficult days that I would have never been able to get through on my own. Also so grateful for this beautiful Easter Conference weekend! Wonderful to be with our kids and families while also hearing such sweet inspiration from our Prophet and other church leaders. I hope I can allow the messages to make me a better mom, wife and person. 

We love you and often think of the sacrifice that you made in our behalf so that we could be parents. Mya is precious....there are no words to describe our love for her. Thank you for being an answer to so many prayers. We love you! 

Happy Easter!

Book of Mormon stories!

I bought her a little Book of Mormon and a marking pencil that she can take to church with her. I showed her mine and explained that she can mark with her little pencil all the words she likes when we read. I showed her mine with all my highlights. She sighed, looked at me and said "wow mom I have a lot of work to do"  I'm not sure if I can even describe the feeling that rushed over me when she said that, it brought tears! When she told me she has a lot of work to do I believe its true and on some level she really knows it already (much more than just highlighting her scriptures to look like mine)! Her sweet little spirit is still so Christlike and connected to the other side.  It also made me realize how much work I have ahead of me as her mom. I am responsible to teach her and help her learn to become the amazing daughter of God that she's meant to be. I truly believe this little one will serve a mission and bring the truth to others that are waiting for it. I cant wait to see what the future holds for her, she is truly and amazing girl and I love her more than words can say! 

A new cousin...baby Violet!

I LOVE my little sister! She has always been so amazing and allowed me to be a part of her childrens births. Since I don't get to experience that on my own its really meant the world to me. She is such a tough chicka! She's also an amazing mom. I often times wish I could be like her she makes motherhood look easy. In addition to that she is one of my best friends! She's a great Aunt to my kids and is always there for me when I need her. Plus she can be super feisty so I feel like she protects me when I need it!

We love baby Violet! The only problem is now Mya wants a sister.........oh crap! Ha ha if only it were that easy! :)

Road tripping to California!

Mya had her diet Coke and was ready to go.......she had no idea the looooooong drive we had ahead of us!

McDonalds in Huntington Beach! This is where she pretty much got hit on my some cute surfer boys! Good thing Nick was ordering food when this happened. Boys better watch out Nick is not going to give her to just anyone!

California Targets are my absolute favorite, Nick thought it was hilarious that I actually took a picture of the one we went to! I love Target!

Mya took this picture of Nick with a male mannequin at the store! She even made him out his arm around it! LOL ever since we took pics with the aliens she thinks this is what you do! The store people thought it was pretty funny! Nick will do anything for his little girl, so sweet. 

Then we had to take pics of her with the small mannequins! Oh geeze this girl cracks us up! This is only one of MANY pics we took for her!

We had so much fun watching you in your competition! Mya is still practicing her twirling. Who knows maybe you will be at one of her meets in the future. 

Disneyland!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! So exciting!

We are so glad you came with us to Disneyland! Even though I think you are crazy for not liking that place I.m so glad you came and spent time with us.

Time with Fawn one of the fairies, it was so cute how nervous and shy she was with them! She was pretty amazed that fairies are "real!"

One of Mya's favorite parts of the trip was the hotel room! She loved that she had her own bed and continuously asked us while we were out and about if we could go back and hang out at the hotel....which she called California! :) 

All of us were so happy to get back to our other little half that we left at home! We sure did miss this chunky monkey!

One of my favorite parts of the trip was when we ran out of gas, on the freeway, in Las Vegas, oh yeah and it was also rush hour!!! But really this was an experience I will never forget I hope it stays with Mya as well. Luckily we ran out of gas on the off ramp so Nick was able to pull us off to the side a bit. It was like 82 degrees outside and the car would not start, our gas gage said we still has a little gas but that didn't seem to be the case. After several attempts to get the car started I suggested that we say a prayer. On the side of the freeway we prayed and asked for help. Literally the second I said Amen Nick turned the key and the car started with  no problem. We were able to drive down the off ramp through 2 lights and find our way to a gas station. I know without a doubt that Heavenly help was given to us that day in that moment because we asked for it. It was an amazing teaching moment for us to show Mya that prayers are answered. I will forever be grateful for that not so fun experience because it added to my faith and hopefully added to little Mya's as well. Prayer is an amazing thing.
