She is going to be the BEST big sister! I can see it already!

Mya and I watched my brother Brady's baby boy Kyson this morning for a little bit. Kyson is 8 months old and is such a cutie! Mya loved having him here she calls him Kys. She was sharing her cereal and went back in her room to get him some toys. She was hugging and kissing him and then having her Cinderella and Belle dolls kiss him too it was so funny! We love having little friends over to play.

 Mya is obsessed with Louie's dog food she loves feeding it to him and it's just funny! Today she was dumping the food out and then cleaning it all up while singing the primary song "clean up". I was dying it was so cute I didn't even stop her instead just listened while she dumped, cleaned and sang! She is starting to sing so much. We were on our way home from church the other day and she started singing "sunbeam". Her other favorite songs right now are "locked out of heaven" by Bruno Mars she walks around singing oh yeah yeah oh yeah yeah yeah yeah oooooooooo. Talk about freaking awesome! It's funny cause Cooper is in love with the same song, it must attract babies! She also loves "baby" by Justin Bieber which makes me so happy! Nick played it for her one time and she loves to sing it. The cutest thing is she loves to sing all the time so when she's back playing with toys I can almost always guarantee that she will be singing something! She is so smart! She's talking more than ever you would be so amazed. She literally copies everything we say. Yesterday she was reading her princess book and was telling me that Cinderella has blue eyes like Mya. Hello so smart! Not all of her words come out perfect but they are understandable and it is amazing! She is also rocking it in nursery. We drop her off she runs to the toys and doesn't look back. When Nick tried to pick her up last week she didn't want to leave! She is such an independent little thing....sound familiar! It reminds us of you all the time! She is wonderful! We are counting down the days to New York, that will be such an amazing trip. Mya and I are also going to Newport Beach California the first week of May with my family. Nick has to work, but I decided it would be fun to tag along with my family! Mya will get to go to Disneyland, and the beach so I think we will have a lot of fun! We have so much to look forward to right now! Lots of cool things coming in the near future!! 

House Update.......

This is our house!!!! The first picture was from a couple weeks ago when they dug the foundation hole! Then then last one is from last week when they poured the foundation!!! This week they start framing and it will really start looking like a house fast! We are so excited, it is supposed to be done right around the time we get home from New York. I think this is as excited as either of us has ever been to seeing a dirt hole and some concrete! YAY!

Books, books and more books!

Last night I took Mya to Barnes and Noble to pick a new book! She loves books so much. We were going to do it for FHE but Nick got an opportunity to go to the Jazz game with his Dad. He loves the Jazz and hasn't been able to go to a game yet this season so we had to let him go! Mya was so cute! Her eyes lit up when we went in the store and she wanted to hold the basket as we walked back to the kids section. She inspected almost every shelf from the front of the store to the back. When we got back to the kids section she saw the Sesame Street books which immediately caught her attention she ran right over grabbed some and sat on the floor to read. She kept telling me "mommy sit down". It was so sweet. We were there for ever an hour and we finally left with this fish book, it's a counting book and she is very into counting right now. She forgets the 1 and 2 but always says "3,4,5,6". In her little Mya voice it has to be the cutest thing ever we love it. She also likes to count like the count on Sesame Street so she'll say "3 ha ha ha!" She also found that weird little blue monkey ball guy and fell in love with him. He giggles and jabbers in a little monster voice when you push his tummy. She kept him on her lap and read books with him the whole time we were in the store. It makes her laugh so when we went to leave she held it up and said "mommy please" seriously how could I say no! Little monster man is now part of the family! Nick was so sad that he missed this outing but we had so much fun we'll definitely be going back there so he can see how much she loved it.

She is getting quite the collection of books. I am in a wood shop class at UVU right now and for my project I am making miss Mya a bookshelf for her new room! It will be so cute and I can't wait to finish it and give it to her.

Cupcakes

Mya helped me make cupcakes yesterday for the family that Nick home teaches. She was very excited to stir the batter, and especially loved watching the cakes grow through the oven glass! But lets be honest her very favorite part was eating one of the cupcakes! She does not like her hands to get dirty so she dug her face in and then had me brake pieces off and feed them to her. It was so much fun, first time she's been my baking buddy and we had a blast!

Nick's dad is a jokester just like him! He is the one who put the candles in saying 82 instead of 28!

They were all doing hand stands and back bend contests.....all Nick's ideas lol! Mya wanted to be right there with them doing it all!

Mya loves uncle Brandon..she calls him salsa. He served his mission in Cancun and loves Mexican food. When he heard her say salsa he loved it and I think his reaction to her made her remember this, so it;s now his new name!

We love being with family! Mya loves all of her grandparents and cousins. She is so much fun to watch with them especially as she is getting older and knows them better. We had a birthday party for Nick at my parents house too but there were so many little babies and lots of stuff going on that I forgot to take pics! I think Nick had a good birthday. He got to pick out some new basketball shoes and I took him to our favorite restaurant Ruth's Chris in Park City for Valentines Day / his birthday! We sure love him and he deserved to have the best birthday ever!

Beautiful!

This had to be the funniest thing ever! She loves getting in my makeup drawer and taking my brushes and pretending to do makeup on herself. Well that was all fine and dandy until today when she learned how to take off lids!!! She was being so quiet on the bathroom floor while I was putting my makeup on I bent down to see what she was doing and this is what I found! I said "oh no Mya what did you do?" She looked and me and said "Mya lipstick on face" and not only that but she looked so proud of herself. How could I get mad or annoyed at the mess I just had to look at her smile and tell her how pretty she looked! Then of course we had to grab the camera. She spent the next several minutes admiring her work in the mirror. She is such a sweetheart......and such a girl I love it!

Have I mentioned that Mya loves stickers? Her favorite is to put them all over herself!

I thought this was hilarious the other day when I went in her room and found her huddled under her table with all of her stuff just playing and laughing with Louie! She is a riot!

She's very proud of herself because she now knows how to wash herself! When I turn the loofa over to her and let her do her own scrubbing it's all smiles! It's pretty cute!

Ok so if there is one thing this girl hates it is the sun in her eyes! I was talking to her in the car the other day telling her she needs to bring her sunglasses so the sun won't hurt her eyes. When the sun does hit her eyes in the car she dramatically puts her hands over her eyes and says "mommy sun hurt Mya's eyes" lol it is really funny! Well now she has to bring her glasses in the car and they stay on her little face the whole time. She now tells me "mom sun no hurt my eyes" as she is tapping her sunglasses! I swear this kid is a genius!

She wanted Nick to wear one of her headbands, she thought it was pretty cool!

Happy Valentines Day!

She just woke up and was having a hard time paying attention to anything but the TV cause her favorite show Dinosaur Train was on! Look at her lounging...so cute!

 

 

She was excited once she realized she could open it!

She's been very into purses lately. She always has to have a purse like Mommy when we go places. This purse is very blingy and cute, she loves it!

She got a Hello Kitty necklace and plate. She also got an Elmo book and some Elmo stickers!

She had so much fun watching her favorite show and putting stickers all over her and me!

We all celebrated together with a yummy heart shaped pizza! Mya loves olives and had a great time picking most of them off the pizza for herself! My two best buds! We had a great Valentines!

Mya helped me put these on the bathroom mirror for Nick. Every time she sees them she says "daddy's stickers". We both love Nick!

Our little clown!

The other night as we were getting ready to read stories she found my boots on the floor! She has the fascination right now with wearing our shoes! The is the first time she's tried my boots. Me, Nick and Mya were laughing so hard! She looked so funny walking all over the place in these boots! She was also doing some sort of dance moves in them and giggling so hard! We're so thankful for her humorous personality, she's really a little clown and we LOVE it!

Here's another example of her just being a clown! She thought it was so funny to climb in the laundry basket! She literally hung out in here for like 10 minutes. She would get out grab a french fry and climb back in the basket. When running from her fries to the basket she would be yelling "Louie no no Mya's fries" It was so funny!

There's Louie waiting for her to get out, I think he was hoping she would accidentally drop a fry in her frantic run back to the basket! Don't worry she dropped plenty of them. But boy did he get an earful from her when he caught one before she could pick it up!
