4th of July

My mom had heart surgery on July 3rd. Crazy that she was able to come home from the hospital the next day right? She is a tough lady! Since she was still sore and not supposed to be doing much if anything we all decided to go to their house and bring the fun to her! Mya was so happy to see her, we were grateful that everything with the surgery went so well.

Just hanging with the family! My Dad had so much fun lighting fireworks for the kids. This is the first 4th of July since I was little that he hasn't been doing security for the Stadium of Fire. It was sure fun to have him around!

It was HOT!!!!! The kids enjoyed lounging in the pool.

We found a leaf that looked like a mustache so Bentlie and I tried it on! :)

Mya couldn't get enough of the sparklers. She almost set Britt on fire a few times!

She liked the little fireworks but when my moms neighbors started lighting the huge ones, she came to me and said "mom the big ones are a little bit too scary for Mya" lol so smart!

The worst thing happened that night. We just ran to the gas station to get some drinks and someone in a big rental moving truck smashed into the back of us. It blew the back window out and scared us all to death. Mya was crying pretty hard and she had glass all over her and her car seat. Whew Mama bear came out in me on this one. I was ready to get out and kick whoevers butt hit us. Fortunately Mya was fine and I calmed down quickly. None of us were injured other then some sore muscles. My Dad came over and picked Mya up while we dealt with the police. My poor car has been in the shop since the 4th, we will finally get it back tomorrow. We are just grateful that no one was hurt. The kid got a ticket and had to pay to fix our car so we are really lucky!
